Nissan Primastar 1.9 2004 - UCH (Body Module) causing fault with hazards #

Year of Manufacture *: 2004
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1900

I have the above van with a UCH (Body module) fault causing the hazard lights to operate when they feel like it even though the switch signal wire remains dormant.

My questions to the Renault experts (as this is a Renault Trafic) are as follows please:

Can I programme a second hand unit from another van ?

Do I need to replace the key fobs as the existing ones are already programmed to another module?

Will the DEC superscan do the job (I have the security PIN codes ) ?

ps: Tried to programme another unit to it today but cannot complete the config data which I think may be because the key is not programmed ???

I'm not 100% but i don't think a 2nd hand module can be used with if your using DEC superscan but from what i read i believe Turecode have released a software module that can code in previously used BCM's.

How it does it i don't know but think its all through the obd plug, you need to buy the basic interface though.

Spot on Lee, I already have the truecode tool (Thats how i got the pin number), will contact them as the Trafic is listed

John,

Sorry I meant the eprom software to add onto the basic truecode package.

it can be used to (if I understand it correctly) reset a bcm o as new or read/write data from old to replacement bcm even used.

Lee, Fully understood what you meant, I already have the key software just need to add the EEPROM software, I have since the last post confirmed with Chris that it will do the job and arranged for the package to be added to my device.

Can you report back on how it went, if it was easy as it sounds as i am considering more Truecode software modules.

Used the new Truecode software - absolutely brilliant.

Connected to the old module, "Read eeprom" and seconds later a file was saved on the laptop.

Swap modules

"Write to eeprom" and a few seconds again - JOB DONE.

Checked all data with the DEC after job and you have a cloned module.

Works a treat - would recommend to anyone, so simple to use and a valuable tool to have

Thanks for the feedback John,

I'll have to get it then as it seems well worth the money. Even if you fit a new UCH it seems easier to use the Truecode software rather than Autologic or Clip.
