Hyundai iLoad D4CB-W1 2009 - Jumps out of fith gear #

Hi can any one tell me if there is a fault with the Hyundai iLoad manual gearbox. I have one that keeps jumping out of 5 gear. The box has been overhauled twice in the last 18 months. It has had main dealer parts fitted by a good gearbox company in the midlands. Is this a common problem or just my customers. Thanks

The driver's manual for the iLoad cautions against resting the left hand on gear lever.This may or may not be relevant to your jumping out of gear problem.

This gear box problem is being checked out at the moment. Hyundai don't seem to have any issues with this particular type for this fault. I will report back when they let me know more.

I don't suppose you have a gearbox code for it do you? Might be able to cross reference it to a Kia unit?
Problem being, is Kia don't import any commercials, but the overhaul manuals might be available.

I have just had a call back about the gearbox problem. They have found excessive wear on the fifth gear again and that they were now going to put in a different one used on a more heaver duty gearbox of the same type. Looking at the wear on the gear/hub assembly, it looks more like poor quality. This is now being taken up with Hyundai after a third time repair. This vehicle does set on the motor way a lot but it is never over loaded with the type of job the customer does.
