Hi all

I recently did an engine swap on a peugeot 306 van. It originally had a 1.9 code DW8 and i've put in a 1.8 code XUD (2 years older). The 1.9 had a Bosch pump and the 1.8 has a Lucas.I'm not getting fuel through the pump because of the immobilizer.I have the original doner van' so I also changed over the chip in the key and the pick up ring on the ignition switch to match the Lucas pump but still no joy. Also I'm using the loom from the DW8 the connections fit perfectly but as I don't have a wiring diagram I'm not sure if the wires are in the correct position.May sound complicated I know' but its a part time project for my sins.Any help would be much appreciated. If someone had a wiring diagram for this model it would be very helpful.
Dominic.

Hello Dominic, try removing the thick metal shield held on with sheer bolts (or use a 1mm cutting disc). There should be a normal stop switch under it & one of your wires should be a switched live. I've done this a few times.

For what's its worth I agree with Alan, also you should tell your insurance company about the change but with all due respect the days of that vehicle being stolen are far gone now :-)

Thanks for your help guys, I was trying to avoid cannibalism to the back of the pump but in the end I had to give in and get the angle grinder out and a thirty euro solenoid fixed the problem.Your right Mark not too many of these old lady's getting nicked these days, its just a bit of a project.

Thanks again guys.
Dominic.
