Toyota Avensis 2.0 d4d 2010 - Fault on electronic parking brake actuator #
Posted by Mohamed Vaheed on March 24, 2014, 8:15 am I have had this customer in what happened originally his electronic parking brake stopped working the fault was the parking brake actuator (motor) he priced up a new one which was £800 so he got a used one he got it fitted now the parking brake works but a yellow parking brake light keeps staying on he has been to the Toyota dealers they suggest that on these avensis the parking brake actuator is coded that's why on the used one the light keeps staying on and you need to fit a new one and get Toyota to code it in. I have tried my snap on solus and maxidas 708 no luck just wondering is it true what Toyota said or they need coding or they have sequence like bridge pins on eobd plug like the early models you did. Cos the dealers recon you can't fit used actuators.
