Ford Mondeo 2.0D 2007 - Cruise control fault when slowing #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 2000 diesel

Hi

Ford Mondeo Cruise control fault when traveling along at 60 mph or 70 mph Cruise control works fine until I try and slow speed down, as soon as I touch the minus button cruise control switches off

Any ideas
