Land Rover Freelander II 2.2d 2011 - Resetting service indicator #

Year of Manufacture *: 2011
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 2.2d code 'c'

Hi all

Serviced one of these last week.
My only issue was resetting the service indicator.
The service display reset fine, but I cannot reset the 'oil service visit dealer' message in the display.
I understand this is an oil dilution DPF message.
Snap-on solus ultra doesnt seem to have the option.

My question is has anyone managed it without SDD and what tool did you use?

Hi Mark I have SDD and cannot find the option for oil service light. Looked in service functions many times. Can you enlighten. I am told that Maxidas will do it.

I use the DA dongle, available from hickleys or maverick or direct from company - diagnostic associates. If you do land rovers it's the best bit of kit you will buy for the money.

Again if your up north I can soon reset it for you ?

I'm in Leicestershire so a bit far for both the offers! Much appreciated all the same.

John, do you use the DA pass-thru with SDD or the blue service reset one as a stand alone?

Hi, I use the stand alone blue dongle, bought it mainly for the freelander but use it for all models even jag's.

Absolutely sure, it's what I bought mine for and with free updates it will be the best money you ever spent on land rovers, look at the other products first before buying:

Where in Leicestershire are you ?

I am north of Melton and have the JL dongle which if are close enough to drive over you are welcome to call in and use.
