Ford Mondeo D Titanium 2007 - Will not open on central locking #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007

Ford Mondeo diesel 57 plate estate,

Dumped here this morning by AA. Car will open on central locking with either key, but will not see the keys inside .

Therefore I cant release the steering lock or code read it because no ignition is happening, it is now stuck in the way .

Can read the bsi unit and it tells me there's no codes and it doesn't recognise the keys. Apart from that I can't talk to anything.

Any idears where to go from here , all help gratefully received. Code read with snapon pro

Does it not have a manual overide with a key blade in the remote?

Or am I thinking of the wrong type.

It has a key in the fob but it looks like is only for getting in .
There is no place for a key in the ignition slot

Have you tried a battery reset ?

Yes and checked all fuses in all fuse boxes
.It had a similar problem 10 months ago but then it would turn over but not start .
Battery reset then worked .
Put new gen batteries in both keys and didn't have a problem till now ,
