Hi Ian it's titled: Brief Engine Knock/Rattle at cold start up. It's a cam gear fault and the Repair is covered under the Lexus Powertrain Warranty. And in effect for 72 months or 70,000 miles.

The warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customers specific complaint. This vehicle has been to dealers for it's last two services the owner informed the dealer she could here a rattle on first statup almost a year ago. They checked it at the time and give the customer a quote for £1400.

A long storey but I am sorting it.

Yes I read that Tony, This refures to R&R bank 1&2 Intake Camshaft Gear Assembly. My customers car has this fault but dealer say they wasn't aware of this TSB

It's been pointed out to them now anyway and is booked in for repairs.
