Mercedes Sprinter 2010 - Cannot open side door with remote or manual #

Hi

cannot open the side loading and rear doors on both remotes or manually using key blade.i am thinking of disconnecting battery and reconnecting first-would i cause any problems doing this?

have you tried the central locking button on dash.
I don't think you will give yourself any problems by disconnecting the battery (our drivers regularly flatten their batteries

)
