What Back Probes? #

Just wondered how everyone is back probing at the moment and what methods you have found useful and what probes seem to work best?
I have issues with decent connections sometimes especially on road tests and don't like piercing wires if it can be avoided Was going to make up some suitable probes myself any suggestions on a good supplier of connectors etc?

Yep, best I've used! Good price too. Biggest problem is losing them in the depths of the engine! Oh, and sore fingers when you miss the spot you were aiming for!

I can vouch for the quality of the pins in the link, I've had a few sets off this guy - almost identical to the Pico pins at a better price.
Nice & slim, but very sharp!

I need to say this probes are ok but the material of the pin is quite week . I have few sets from snapon . Two in the pack about 38 pounds ( dont exactly remeber ) but they are strong but shaem when you loose them .

I have some snap-on ones as well and although the pins are strong they aren't anywhere near as sharp as the ones in the link (i have them also) and they are far to bulky.

They (if i have the correct type) don't have the 4mm banana plug style either so a hook probe needs to be used.

I'd go with the back probes in the link.

I'm not going argue with you at all . But I ordered this one from the link and I leave it without the comments. I have no bussiness in recommending any of them but I rather buy snapon's for 38 pounds than this - sorrry mate - my choice.

Have been using this type of probe for a few years now.

Just to keep the price down I buy the replacement pins from a dress makers shop. Lots it pins very cheaply .

as I said I bought set of this pnes from the link and start using them . Now : got two tips broken and my question is how you replace them? Am I so stupid? Sorry guys any instruction much appreciated.

Very small screw down inside the centre, screws down against the pin head. Small flat screwdriver needed.
