Mercedes SLK R171 2005 - Roof opening fault - Fixed #

HI All,
This car has option of opening the roof from the key pointed at the door handle,however it stops halfway through its operation and starts beeping, this also happens if you try to close the roof from fully open. The roof does work perfectly from console switch.This problem is with both keys fitted with new batteries.When this happens the roof operation can be finished by starting car and using console switch.

As the engine isn't running during roof operation from the remote, perhaps it's worth monitoring the cars battery voltage?
In case the roof current draw is too high, or the battery is on it's way out.

Hi Tony ,
Thanks for your reply,Battery is ok and the roof works ok with koeo by console switch,by that I mean fully open to fully closed.
