Steering is tight when driving and does not correct herself. Very uncomfortable to drive as you are all the time correcting steering. No lights on or fault codes. Electronic Steering unit attached to steering column. When you lock car to the left steering is much tighter than when you turn to the right. Presume problem is in electronic unit because it would be the same left and right if in rack.Anyone come across similar problem in yaris?

My bloody 2002 Civic was the same, constant corrections and no self centreing when steering wheel released. Also was very stiff at low speeds. Had 4 wheel tracking done and it was a different car! worth a look, Regards, Gwyn

What testing has been carried out to prove this?

What is the current draw of the system?

What is the torque sensor reading?

What is the history of the vehicle?
