Peugeot 407 1.6HDi 2005 - Knock from front left #

Year of Manufacture *: 2005
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.6 hdi

Customer brought in car with knock in left front which we quickly found to be bottom bushing on main stub unit.This bushing is located under bottom ball joint.Tried to order bushing but it seems it cannot be got without buying main stub unit in Ireland at least.Does anyone know of anybody doing this bushing in UK as it costs nearly 300 euro plus vat in Ireland for unit.

Hi Liam

If it's the unit Mark shows, these are a well known weakness in the 407 and are freely available from any factors.
On the subject of Peugeot part prices, I was quoted 1,500 euro for a cat for a 2005 407 1.8 from several Peugeot dealers recently, no cheaper in NI either. Crazy money.

Had the same problem with the main agent found after market bush Firstline p/n FSK7185 is available

Thanks for help.I will check out first line part no and see if it is what i need.It is not ball joint photographed in matts post.It is bushing positioned under this ball joint on main suspension arm.

We have a one in at the moment the customer had diagnosed it himself and asked us to fit the bottom joint with the bush which he supplied.When we stripped it the bush was worn but it had also worn the stub on the hub it pushes onto.

hi all.main dealer do these as a separate item got one the other week from robins and day in manchester and it was about �20 cheaper than a aftermarket part

Thanks for photo,Tony.It is bushing on bottom of photo under rusty ball joint.Is this bushing available and if so from whom.

Thanks for all the help lads,firstline FSK 7185 is the bushing i was looking for.This part was not in a lot of parts manuals hence i was told was not available.Alls well that ends well.
