Evening All,

I don't really expect any responses to this because the fault appears to be a bit vague.

I was invited by an old customer to conduct a post purchase check on this vehicle which he bought from auction. It runs fine (despite broken connections to the MAF) but has a discernible buzz/hum emanating from behind the dashboard. He is concerned about it because of a potential fire risk or battery drain. This noise is present with ignition on or off.

My theory is that the vehicle has not "gone to sleep" and when it does "go to sleep" by opening the doors a few hours later, the noise starts up again because it has been "woken up".

Any thoughts would be most welcome.
