Hi
Intermittent speedo stops working. Engine management light came on, then goes off and then abs light comes on. codes read with auto diagnose p0500 speed sensor. can any one tell me where the sensor lives, spoke to dealer they say on gearbox but can only see reverse light switch. can't get comms with abs.
Took for road test abs light came on so i scoped both front sensors tested ok.
Hi all still got this haunting me, put second hand abs unit on, still the same, managed to get wiring diagram from bosch in german so not that good,but pin 17 shows speed signal out to clocks got square signal and this disappears when we reach 50mph speedo stops and steering goes light,switch ignition off and on all works again till you get to 50mph.If i disconnect any of the front sensors the speedo doesn't work so it must use both for a referance.I now suspect clocks,but can anyone tell me this when i scope the signal at the clock end i get a signal, if i disconnect the multiplug the signal disappears so it must break the circuit. am i missing something basic here? so i suspect the clocks but can't sus why the signal goes if its coming out of the abs unit.
