Audi A4 1.6 2002 - Fans running all the time #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.6 petrol

Hi

Radiator fan comes on with engine cold and car switched off.It flattens battery. It doesn't happen all the time and reading no fault codes. Checked all connections and seem OK.

Anybody come across similar problem with this model?

Left fan plugged out as customer needs car. Warned him of dangers of overheating in traffic and he is to bring car back asap. Will do more checks then and get back to you

Water ingress to fuse box. Probably find relays under water.

Hi Liam, We came across same problem on A6 2.0TD
S-line, and pre pump would often run as well. As Joe says.2 relays were bathed in water in ecu housing under scuttle panel.
