Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.9 DDIS 2005 - Thermostat replacement #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.9 ddis

Hi guys

Just checking if anyone has replaced a thermostat on this model, it is at rear of engine and according to dealer the engine has to be removed (6 hrs labour ) . Seems a bit extreme but considering i can even see it it looks as if they are right. Any tips would be appreciated

Hello Wilbert, would that be a renault dci engine? If it is I think you're right, it should be on the back end of the head. I've no idea if it can be done with engine in (sorry). Good luck, keep us posted.

Hi Alan, yes that where it is looks like there is not enough clearance to get it out, just wondering if gear box removel might be quicker ?
