Vauxhall Zafira Z20LET 2003 - Head gasket replacement #

Hi

We did a head gasket on this 2 weeks ago guy phoned me yesterday saying it was smoking bad and using oil, when the car went out it was fine im sure ive read somewere that the oil control rings can stick on ecotec engines has any one heard of this

Its rare Paul but not unheard of!
Have the engine been exposed to really high temperatures?
Did you skim the head? and replace the valve seals?

What was the reason for the head gasket ? I would be think along the line of heat damage.

Other than that is it possible the customer has overfilled with oil ?

Hi

Customer took car back and said he was going to trade it in, perhaps if he had been a bit more honest with me i would have gone at it a different way i was told after that he drove it with no coolant in for some time just to get home late at night, some people think the less they tell you the less its going to cost them
