Toyota Yaris 2003 - EPAS intermittent fault (Nasty!) #

Year of Manufacture *: 53 plate

Customers daughter complained that the PAS "Took Over" while driving and veered the car first to the left, then the right before coming back under control!

I took it for a short (Off Road!) drive and was unable to reproduce the symptom. No fault codes present. everything seems fine.

Have just done a "Brief" web-search without discovering anything.

Any suggestions?

I,m sure dealer tool will pull a code.

Cant say Im familiar with this system Paul so dont know if this is any use.

But I remember on older Toyotas the uj in the steering column used to give trouble and the steering would feel like it had a mind of its own at times. Driver would usually complain of symptoms similar to yours.
