Citroen C3 1.1 2006 - No coms with SRS - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2006
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1100

Hi

Car was in a crash
airbags replaced
cannot communicate with srs module
can communicate with evetything else
BSI fault is ~no communication with aitbag~
car was also at dealers and they cannot communicate with srs system
all usual checks carried out wiring intact
2 powers and earths to srs module

Hi Gerard

Can you check the Communication lines to the SRS module.

It looks as though the SRS module communicates on the VAN network.

The SRS module has 2 dedicated wires from the multifunction control module, If these wires were faulty you would not be able to talk to the SRS.

I wouldn't think a problem with any of the 2 wires would effect you talking to the other modules on the vehicle either.

Also,

I am not sure (I am sure sombody will come along that does) can the ECU be reused after a crash, when the airbags have been deployed.

Although,
I would think you would still be able to talk to it to retrieve crash data?

Have checked van wiring the dealer said should still be able to talk to crash module thks

You should have comms with SRS unit and crash data will have to be removed by re-writing the eeprom.
I can remove crash data but need the ECU details.

Got a second hand module with same part no
and worked, even though dealer told us the old srs module should have comms
