BMW 520d (E60) 2008 - CD Multichanger retrofit #

Year of Manufacture *: 2008

Does anyone have any experience of fitting a second hand CD multichanger into the bracket behind the glovebox, wiring already there and 2 fibre optic cables but no housing block for fibre optics.
1/ How do you obtain the housing block for the fibre optic cables as there in a butt connector at moment pointing together (Dealer not helpful)?
2/ Does the system need coding to allow a multichanger to work ?

If you split the in line fibre connector,the optic cables should go straight into the in -out ports in the back of cd changer to maintain the signal loop in the Most system.The media system will need readapting and possibly other systems as well.A job for Autologic.Can not think of any other diag system that will do this,as if I recall this is done through the fibre optic diagnostic socket.

Got the loop apart and tried to put them into the changer but there's a small black housing inside the connector that holds them in place, trying to get one from the dealer but the parts dept is struggling with it.
