Ford Focus 1.8D 2004 - Wiring up a tow bar? #

Year of Manufacture *: 2004 on 54plate
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.8 diesel

Hi guys

I need some info regarding wiring up a tow bar just fitted the bar and socket i have never done a car with can i see that you can get all sorts of kits i would be greatful for any info on this matter manny thanks for any help. jim

If this is a mk 1 focus (up to 2005) ,then it is straightforward wiring into existing loom.The lights circuits are basic with no can-bus.

Otherwise you'll need a "7-way bypass" relay which uses 1 fused live to power all trailer lights & the vehicle lighting circuits only switch the relays. Also fit an audible relay in the indicator circuit as its a legal requirement. (Or light on dash which is a pig to fit)
