Renault Kangoo 1.5 DCi 2003 - Hazard lights operating during driving #

Year of Manufacture *: 2003 ( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.5DCI
Hi All, I have a 2003 Renault Kangoo 1.5DCI van I use for work. It is Ex British Gas, so has a Maple door security system installed. The problem I have with it is whilst driving, I 1st get the central locking system activating, followed by the hazard lights flashing continuously. I can then cancel it by depressing the hazard switch. But at any random moment the issue will repeat itself. I only have access to a Snap on Solus Pro, and no fault codes are present. I have tried removing the hazard light switch, but the fault still shows. It seems to arise every time I make a small demand on the electrical system I.E. press brake pedal, turn on wipers or indicate. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
Cheers
Neil

Hi Neil Had the same problem with a Scenic, disconnect the air bag module and then road test the car. Mine had a faulty air bag module, in an accident they unlock the doors and set the hazzard lights going! Regards Ivor
