Bosch bulbs? #

Who is "Gerilux" and how do they come to end up inside Bosch bulb boxes???

I am also unimpressed with the quality (The big capsule push in types just dont fit!). what do others use for replacement bulbs these days??

I have given up buying the cheapo bulbs from motor factors.As you have found out they fit where they touch.Where possible,I buy bulbs from Vauxhall out the trade club.So far have been top quality for not much more money than the cheapies and you don't need to fit at least 2 to find one that works/fits properly.Also found the Wurth bulbs to be good.

I use Wurth,Osram,Hella and Tungrsam,have got 1 faulty wurth bulb since i started using them,apart from that happy with Wurth and a little cheaper than Osram.

I do not use the amber flasher by Hella as they seem to flash brighter than the other brands.

I have also seen Philips bulbs in a cheap branded box like "Klaxcar or Gerilux"

Has anyone noticed the difference in VAG oil filters recently,Part No:071 115 562 C.

One brand made in France,by Purflux,One made in Germany by Mann,there is a noticeable difference in the quality and the height.

Dont know if its the bulbs or the oil filters you are refering to,if its the oil filters,these are main dealer genuine parts.

It was the bulbs I was asking about as there are alot of fake Bosch parts around and available from one of the country's largest suppliers.

Hi Sean,

there are alot of fake Bosch parts around and available from one of the country's largest suppliers.

Do you know if the fake Bosch part suppliers have got round the hologram and "Bosch protect" number.

I ordered two Bosch Maf's from two of the countries largest suppliers and both numbers were accepted on the Bosch protect site.

Can't say mate as the ones I've seen dont get supplied to me but had been fitted by other garages so never saw the packaging (did see the invoices however).
