LDV Convoy 2.4 2003 - Lost keys - Fixed #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 2.4tdci

Its been a long time since i posted on this forum so forgive me if this is in the wrong section.

I have this van which the owner has lost the keys for. They have supplied a second hand steering lock, key reader, key and engine ecu.

The van now cranks over but wont start with the pats light flashing on the dash.

Would i be correct in thinking that the injector pump needs paring with the new ecu?

Will my texa txt do the job if i go in under ford ? Only had the texa 2 weeks so still learning !

Hi Ed,

Long time no hear where ya bin?

Is this a TDCi or a TDDi?

If TDDi it will need the pump matching to the ECU. You should be able to get in under transit but I don't know about the funtionality of texa!!

If TDCi there is no coding for the pump.

Hi Mike,

I have spent the last 5 years working for RAC and getting increasingly bored so i thought i would come back to what i know.

This van is a tddi and both my texa and autocom failed miserably with no programming functions at all

Im told the snap on solus can do it so im going to borrow one this weekend and have another go.

I spoke to the local ldv agent , even they cant do it now as their laptop has timed out since ldv went bust.

I will keep you informed of the progress

We have done these using ford IDS , You have a choice enter code or timed.

DEC can do this too.. would it not of been easier just to get a ford transit ign barrel and keys and programmed them?
