VW Polo 2007 - Km instead of MPH #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 3 cly 12 valve

This vehicle shows kmh instead of mph. can I change this with solus? (up to date software) If so, can anyone give any tips etc.

Les, what exactly are you wishing to change? Obviously the KMH and MPH are physically printed on. The odometer however can be changed as can the multi-function display if fitted.

IIRC you change the control unit coding so that the second digit is a 4 which sets things to mph,mpg, miles etc etc

I dont have access to a Solus but on the Verus you get the option for advanced access to VAG, merc and some others. In these advanced modes you can change coding and work more like the dealer tool.

Sorry Matt. Not explained myself very well. Reading my post, no wonder you are asking. It is the odometer that is wrong. I went to instruments on solus and I think this can be done but having no experience of this, decided to come back out and find out info on how to alter this. I did find out about the second digit should be 4 and it was most likely set as 1 but do not know how to get to the part for resetting. Could send to someone with VAG COM but If I have a machine that can do, I would like to do try.

It's expert mode you want which then allows you to change ecu coding.

Sorted. No problems. Just so happened that a skoda was in for service and was asked if I could change the locking so that all doors opened at once. Felt more confident and again had no problems. Thanks for your input Matt
