Vauxhall Corsa 1.7 Di 2002 - Advise on cleaning out cooling system - Fixed #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.7Di

Just looking for advice on cleaning out the cooling system on this Corsa, the oil cooler has let go and put about 1.5L of oil in to it. I've used Wurth flush and drained the system several times also tried pulling the oil out the top of the expansion bottle with a fluid Extractor but can't seem to get it anywhere near clean.

Had good results on k srs Rovers with dish washer tablets 3 or 4 usually does the trick !

We use the forte one as well. Biodegreaser I think it's called. Works very well.

Forte bio degreaser for me, on really bad ones sometimes have to be done twice

Forte (Bioclean IIRC) is supurb. 2 Bottles will clear anything (Smells nice too)

If it is still oily after that I guess you still have oil leaking into the cooling system!

We use the Forte Bio degreaser, usually put two bottles in, run it up for half an hour at fast idle to really it get around the system, then change the water and put a flush through it.
Then when your happy that it is all cleared through, anti freeze the system as usual.

You can imagine some of the Rover head gasket cooling systems that we have seen.
Cleans them out lovely.

I go with forte too!
If you already have most the grease out one will do but otherwise 2.

Managed to get hold of some Forte and put through then flushed it happy with it now. Thanks for the advice.

At the risk of being shot at with heavy artillary - i filled the cooling system up with paraffin on one once and let it idle for an hour or so , then flushed it with water!
Worked a treat for me!!
