Ford Mondeo 2002 - No indicator tell tale on dash #

Year of Manufacture *: 52

Kind of hoping for a Magic Bullet on this....

All indicators work, relay clicks, and Hazards work but no tell tale light on dash.

Any suggestions before I attempt to remove dashbord!

I would try a battery disconnect before anything else.I have seen a few dash issues on these due to a poor battery,although no complaint of poor starting.hth

What happens on self-test ?

I take it you mean when I initially switch on the ignition....

No light!

I am assuming that these all use LED's these days and that the chances of the lamp itself actually being faulty is very low.

(As a side note, While it is an MOT requirement that the lamp works, does it have to be the original lamp? IE Hypothetically could one bodge up some bulbs on the dash connected directly to the indicator wiring? I am not proposing this! I am just wondering...

)

does it not go through hazard lamp or even the alarm box under dash on o/s ?

Can you not run a lamp check via the diagnostic tool ?
