Skoda Fabia 1.4 16v AUB 2001 - Broken belt for exhaust cam (small one) #

Hi

This car has a broken belt the small one which
drives the exhaust cam,does anyone know if the valve/piston come into contact or is it scrap

Done quite a few of these and have always suffered valve damage, even seen a couple with chunks taken out of the piston!

Same as the 1.6 16v golf engine Richard.
Last one I did stripped the small belt after 30,000 miles.
All 16 valves bent!

All the ones I've seen have bent valves.
We've done a lot of these, it's so important to stick to the 4 year / 40K interval, seen a few snap the short belt on age with 20K since a previous change.
