Guys

Have a very high mileage (350k miles) Mondeo Auto 2008 new shape. It has 2 fault codes one in the engine ECU whiuch is P081D Neutral Input Circuit and one in the Auto Box ECU P0817 starter disable circuit short to ground. The car starts and drives fine, but the fault keeps appearing on the dash display saying 'gearbox service required'. When the faults are cleared they re appear on cycling the gear lever through the gate. I thought it may be connected with the start inhibit switches of the gear lever, however it wont start in any of the gear positions, but will start in both neutral and park which appears to be correct. Anyone come across this before on these please? Any help welcome!!
