Vauxhall Calibra 2.0 X20XEV 1996 - Cam sensor fault, code 92 #

Hi

I have a calibra with a x20xev non red top and I keep getting a fault code for the cam sensor fault code 92 intermittent and have tested it with the info i have which gives me resistance on 2 pins and an ac voltage of 3v.

I am only getting 0.9 volts on three different sensors so believe its the car but i cannot see why.

Autodata says that i should have a signal out of the ecu to middle pin of 150khz but my snap-on vantage pro only goes to 100khz. anyone know any readings i can get from the wiring plug before i condem the ecu

is this the same as the vectras with the well known yellow earth wire which fails ,it supports air mass ,coolant temp & one other sensor,without looking at wiring diag cant remember if its cam sensor ,there are lots of posts on this maybe worth a look, keith

earth wire isnt yellow its brown/red and i tried giving it a new earth but no better.

have tried the search but will try again

Have you tested the main ecu power supply relay?

What does your scanner show as voltage to the ecu?
