Vauxhall Combo 1.7TD 2002 - Crank shaft thrust bearing fault #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1700 td

We have starting doing a clutch job, having got the gearbox out with have noticed excessive end float on crank. Also back of flywheel has been rubbing on engine block ! Has anybody come across this before ? Also does anybody know where the thrust washers are and if they are in 2 half's. This may be terminal as damage may have occured inside engine.

End float is 0.030-0.120mm. Thrust washer,s on no:4 main in halfs.
