Saab 9-3 2.0 2004 - Resetting service indicator #

Hi again. I have just carried out a Full service on this vehicle and I am having trouble resetting the service light. This model has the display in the center screen on top of dash panel. Each time I reset it it, it tells me I have 127 days before service is due. I have tried both Various and KTS for service reset, but it tells me to reset it manually.

Hello Mike, I did one a while ago and wrote this in my note book, so I hope it makes sense! Switch ignition on, press & release "clear" button, then hold "clear" button for at least 8 seconds. The word "service" should appear in the display after two bleeps, then switch ignition off.......... Or, turn ignition on, press & hold the foot brake, select "settings" on the steering wheel controls. Press & hold "set" button until it bleeps. Select "time for service", it will then ask "reset service check?" Select "yes" then release brake peddle. Hope this helps, Alan.

Hi Alan. Thanks for that, The customer is coming back in on Friday for me to reset it, I will let you know.

I used to have one of these on my books, if I remember correctly you had to reset the clock to a year ahead?, it is all covered in AD.
