Cirtoen C8 2.0 HDi 2005 - Brake pedal problem #

Hi

I have an 05 Citroen C8 that has a problem with the brake pedal. When braking the pedal moves a short distance and starts to get firm, then starts moving again until its about 2/3rds its travel and works fine. This is every time and regardless of speed/load/temp etc. It's fine on a brake tester but has failed the mot on the pedal problem.

Anyone have any ideas please

Stuart.
It should not fail an MOT unless it actually touches the floor.
Contact VOSA it,s normal for lots of diesels due to the VAC pump.
