Gear change is fine until a long /5-6 miles then customer reports gears feel as though they are tightening up at which point no gears can be selected, have road tested vehicle and there is no clutch drag or slipping on the advice of vauxhall have changed the gearchange linkage, although some improvement it still has this problem intmitently anyone come across this by the way its a 5 speed manual box and the mileage is only 37000
cant see how it would be linkage early ones wore but could always select some gears if the linkages are free from gear lever to box would suggest box problems check the mounting bolts on gearbox side we have seen them come loose and allow box to drop causing problems
