Citroen C4 2.0 2007 - ABS fault, code C1301 #

Year of Manufacture *: 2007
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 2.0

hi does anybody know the fault code description

C1301 braking pressure sensor signal coherence

is this a internal fault in the pump or is there a pressure sensor elsewhere.

Chris,
With respect, have you researched the system fitted to this vehicle?, whose system is it?, what version is it?, do you have any live data for a pressure sensor?, have you checked?. Expecting others to do this for you is not what this site is about.

And that is'nt a constructive answer either,
GIVE good info ,(as it asks for above)and someone will answer your question for you.
FYI, there is a VERY common problem with pressure sensors on Teves Mk 60 abs fitted to any number of different manufacturers, yours might be one of those, but I don't know as I can't bother my a*** to check.

Hi Chris

May be worth a call to the Citroen dealer, if this is one with the internal pressure sensor there may be some good will (if your very lucky). Would be good to know what system is fitted?

Is there an ESP lamp on?

Hi Chris,
I think you will find that this is a internal fault with the abs unit and indeed is very common and I do believe that citroen give 7years warranty on these parts for good will.

thanks mark just in case somebody else gets the same fault description

on setting off the auto handbrake does not release properly flagging up the abs light on restart the light goes back out
when you operate manually its fine when you plug in the diagnostics in my case snap on solus/launch/kts/lexia it only retrieves c1301 historic i had a nagging thought about the problems on the Teves Mk60 ABS/ESP but with it only effecting the handbrake i also wondered about another pressure sensor on the handbrake side ! not a lot of info about the c4 i have vivid autodata 3 sis\cas also tried the dedicated citroen forums and of course google with no luck!
next time i will log the make\model\serial\system\country\colour of the brake fluid cap \writing on the cap\ and maybe spend a few hours checking grounds and feeds
