Mitsubishi L200 2.5TD 2001 - Blowing fuses, wiring diagram needed #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 2.5TD

I could do with a wiring diag for this if anyone has one.

This is blowing a fuses for the left side light and when this happens none of the lights (dips, mains dash etc) work except right side and tail. Of course, now that I have it everything works perfect.

Aside from a wiring diag, a silver bullt would be nice.

hi i cant help with the wiring diagram but in the past i have found problems with side lights either where stop tail bulbs have been replaced with incorrect bubs
but most of the time if an aftermaket radio has been fitted they tend to use the sidelight supply as earth
also problems at the back end with towbar wiring catching exhaust

Hi

Just to add to martins suggestion on towbar electrics, also if used for towing don't forget possible trailer fault !!! Intemittent fuse faults are very often caused by poor trailer wiring.

Does it have an adjustable steering column ?
If so worth check the column loom.

Cant be sure if these have the same loom layout as Pajero, but I've had lots of pajero issues where the loom comes through from the RHS inner wing behind the headlamp.

This job has changed slightly. The symptom I posted above didn’t make sense. I couldn’t see how a side light fuse blowing could be connected to the jeep loosing all its lights. That’s the main reason I wanted a diagram for it.
Having spoken to him again, it turns out that on a long journey he tired of changing the side light fuse and put a bigger one in which resulted in the fusible link blowing and the loss of all the lights.
So its just a side light circuit fault, wont happen for me, and I cant see anything wrong except all the bulb holders are corroded. I am just going to fit all new bulb holders and bulbs, seal up the lamps and let it off.

Hola Alan-my memory's not what it was

but I seem to remember a recall for these, I did some for the main dealer.
It was a loom/relay mod...water gets in to the relays under bonnet.
i think the main culprit was dim dip, but it affected sidelights too?? worth a look anyway.
If u still want a wiring diag, i've got the book here somewhere-probably under my bed!

Hey Ian, fuse box and relays are bone dry on this. Wiring diag would be useful, if only for the future. They seem to be difficult to find.
