MG TF 2003 - Lifted a liner, are these dry sealed? #

Year of Manufacture *: 1003

Got the head off and mister it wasnt me has turned the engine over (not starter motor)lifted a liner...
Are these dry sealed?? or have we go a bucket full of Extra work and no Profit???

Hi Mark , done one years ago and from what i remember it has a dry seal through a taper on the liner seat

Special sealant put on as a bead around the lower shoulder, which i,m sure is no longer available.

We use rapid gasket fron Kent Industries to seal them down again, as it doesn't go off until the air is squeezed out of it much like super glue, its the same as we use on the cam carriers as the oil will wash away any residue and not cause problems.
