Mercedes Benz C200 2004 - Particulate filter problem - Fixed #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: OM646.962

This vehicle is down on power and mil on. codes stored with AD are
p2513 inlet port shut off motor
p2086 diesel particulate filter
p2648 upstream temp sensor
p2069 check part filter
p2649 downstrem (kat) sensor
p2626 particulate filter

The fault codes were cleared a month ago and have returned. i have done some research and apparently the inlet "flaps" are bad for going faulty on the inlet manifold but looking at the fault codes i want to address the particulate filter problem first. the vehicle appears to have 2 particulate filters straight from the turbo. is it possible to do a regen on this vehicle (i only have autodiagnos for merc which doesnt list a regen facility. or is there a way to drive the vehicle and do a forced regen. sorry for the vague post but i have had no experience with merc particulate filters. mike whit if you have merc autologic and could help me out i could drive down today if required. thankyou in advance

Hi Sean
I would sort out the P2513 inlet port flap fault first as this may be affecting the car ability to carry out a regen.

Hi mick. i reset all faults run vehicle until mil light came on again. only code was inlet port motor. merc have a motor in stock so going to address that fault first as you say. thanks

The motor on the bottom of the inlet manifold was seized. new motor fitted which cured the fault. took just over an hour to replace access is gained from underneath by removing the starter motor. a friend with mb star then set the vehicle to do a dpf regen on the next roadtest which the car did and all is well.
