NON START Fuse 1(25 amps) in the SAM module pops when key is turned to Position 3 to crank engine. Disconnected multi plug to starter motor and get a measured draw of 80 amps across fuse terminals. Taken SAM module out and opened it up as we found info about water ingress. All okay put back together and re-installed.We lose the current draw if the lower multi plug on E.C.U. is disconnected but multi plug to starter is connected.
Checked for chaffed wiring through fire wall. With work load and staff levels at the moment has anybody encountered this issue which may eleviate opening harnesses front to back and engine bay ? Cannot find any wiring diagrams anywhere(have searched high and low for two hours)
I was once called out to one of these with a fuse blowing problem.In that case it was the sidelight fuse.The cause was found to be the wiring loom rubbing on the vertical support between floor and fascia panel.Might be worth having a look there.Just a bit of trim removal needed.
