Mazda 3/6 2.0D 2002 - Reset ECM after oil service #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: Reset ECM after oil service

Hi

Does anyone know if there is any way of resetting the parameters on the Mazda diesels ofter the oil has been changed I can reset the service light but the ECM also need to be reset. I have Autodiagnos, Solus pro & KTS but no joy. is there any after market kit that will.

I am supprised KTS doesnt do it. The only tool I know that can is IDS.

Thanks Tony & Keith.
I was going to invest in an IDS a few months back but didn't (bought another workshop, tyre gear, alignment gear & scissor lift).
Turned this customer down today because I can't reset it, ah well.

I've done it. I used either the verus or kts, can't remember. Think it was the kts as I had to select a different ecu to what was pre-selected.

I did phone scanline and checked on the KTS coverage but didn't think about trying other ECU options.

The more I think about it the more I am convinced it was the KTS. The vehicle kept logging a fault code for DPF regeneration which returned seconds after clearing. What ever varient of engine ECU I choose showed the oil dilution % and then carried on to reset it to 0%. Have a play and I'm sure you'll find it.

Also found this while searching when I had this fault. May help if you're working on a 6.

Hi Russ.
Just give me a call next time me old mate & I'll sort it out with IDS for you! Done plenty of the Mazda resets, especially ones that have been to Mazda only to be told that it needs a DPF at a cost of nearly £2000!
