Ford Galaxy 2.3 1998 Petrol Auto - Engine sump #

Year of Manufacture *: 1998

The sump on this car is now more sieve-like than sump-like but the dealer has quoted over £200 plus VAT for a new one.

That seems a tad excessive for 10 x 8 inches of pressed steel.

Factors and internet search have not yielded an alternative - does anyone know of an alternative supply please?

Chemical metal? There's nothing for it to adhere to!

It would be cheaper to make a new sump from ali plate and TIG weld it together.

My customer says he'd rather pay even more for that than give Ford the money!!
