Peugeot 807 2.2 HDi 2003 - Non start #

Year of Manufacture *: 2003
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 2.2 hdi

Hi chaps,
Went out to this one today as a none start which has not been started for three months! New battery fitted, BSI reset carried out but still none start,turns over ok,checked ecu status and found that it was locked, tried to recode the keys with p/planet security code was accepted but will not code the keys even tried new batteries in the fob just in case but with no luck.
any help or advice please.

Genuine planet ? did you just scan the engine or di you do a global scan ? do you have a key reader tester as sold by Advanced keys ?

Hi Kevin,
Its not a genuine planet but have used it many times and it is up to date,did a full global scan with no other faults,have no access to a key reader.

Up to date so what version ? not that i can see that being the problem. Is it a genuine inter-face ? do you have a non remote key to try, cheap enough to buy, cut and code.

Well I went back to this one today with a recharged battery,refitted the two fuses in the bsi unit which the customer had removed to stop the alarm siren from waking the dead!! removed and refitted the immobiliser coil from the ignition barrel and hey presto I could reprogram both keys and it burst into life.

This line of questioning is a little bit like, rummaging through someone's underwear drawer isn't it? He already said that his interface wasn't genuine I think.

What are you trying to establish with these questions? It's a 2003 built Peugeot, so how up to date does his planet software have to be? Would you appreciate the authenticity of your scantool collection being scrutinised on the UK's premier diagnostic forum?

Don't get me wrong Kev, I am not looking to fall out, but I sometimes wonder what you hope to achieve with some of your questions.
