Renault Scenic 2003 - Hand brake fault #
Posted by Les Smith on December 7, 2010, 5:54 pm Hi all. I am in need of help. Car failed mot with no handbrake to one side. My mechanic fitted pads and discs but now the cables are not moving. One side was full on before he started job. He pulled the emergency lever which released cable. The fault code states that the emergency lever is deployed. With the cover off the motor is working back and forward but not pulling main cable. I don't know what exactly happens when emergency cable is pulled but looking inside motor casing the emergency cable is going fully off. I think the fault lies with this. Customer not very patient. We have solus with 10.4 but if we fitted another motor it would still need programmed which solus will not do adding to our frustration.any help appreciated. Cheers Les
