Peugeot 406 2.0 HDi 2000 - ABS fault, no fault codes #

Year of Manufacture *: 2OOO

WE HAVE A PEUGEOT 406 HDI ESTATE.
IT HAS A FAULT WITH THE ABS.
WE TAKE IT OUT ON ROAD TEST AND WE CAN LOCK THE WHEELS UP.
THERE ARE NO FAULTS ON THE CAR MEMORY, USING A SNAP-ON SOLUS PRO, ALL FOUR WHEEL SENSORS ARE WORKING ON ROAD TEST.
IT SAYS ON THE CAR DASH THAT IT HAS A ABS FAULT/BRAKE FAULT.
I HAVE SENT THE ABS UNIT AWAY TO BE CHECKED IT HAS COME BACK NO FAULT FOUND.
CAN ANYONE SHED ANY LIGHT ON THE PROBLEM.
ALSO CAN I FIT ANOTHER ABS UNIT OF ANOTHER PEUGEOT OR NOT?
MANY THANK FOR ANY HELP ON THIS PROBLEM.

you need to try another scanner or make sure that you are communicating with the right system if the dash says fault the abs will not work and the wheels will lock .

THE SCANNER WE ARE USING IS COMMUNICATING WITH THE RIGHT SYSTEM BECAUSE WE CAN GET THE ABS ECU PART NUMBERS AND DETAILS OFF THE SCANNER I AM USING, I ALSO CHECKED IT ALL AGAIN JUST TO MAKE SURE AND IT READ THE SAME.

As Above use a different (dare i say, a better) scanner, and please knock the CAPS off.

HI Gerald
Check the abs voltage supply because I think there was a mod
to give an extra supply perm battery plus switched live.

I remember one xsara picasso abs light on no faults in memory, abs workd- dash panel was faulty.
