Mini One 1.4 Diesel 2004 - Head gasket replacement #

Just wondered if anyone has had the pleasure of changing the head gasket on the Mini one diesel?I think its the same as the yaris but not sure.Only autodata books the job at 15 hrs!!Knowing what a pain toyota cambelts usually turn out to be this time is probably justified as its a chain drive.Any help would be appreciated.

We did one about a month ago.
Engine out. Chain was not a problem.
Not a bad job to do. 15hrs is about right by the time you got the engine out and strip of the head.

Check the engine cooling fans.
Ours were faulty thats why the headgasket went.
Common fault on the mini.

Thanks for that,is it not possible to carry out with the engine in situ??Car came in for new fan about a month ago,customer said it was so he could get the aircon working again!but maybe not.
