BMW 116 D Sport E87 2009 - Service light reset #

Hi All

I serviced this vehicle but could not put out the service light. it is 4000 miles over. I get right through the procedure but at the very end the light will not go out. I followed instructions on auto data and the new book on service lights with no joy. Is there anyone out there that give me the correct working procedure. Here's hoping.

Hi Les , never had that problem with BMW as i use my Autocom to re-set CBS.It may be possible that it's over the allowed mileage for manual re-set ... different make but i'm sure i had that on a Saab before

Allow all warnings to run on the instrument cluster,(untill display goes back to milage) then try AD method.

Did a 08 118 yesterday with same procedure with no problems. The problem car coming back in on Monday so will let you know.

did a bmw 5 the other day, had to reset each indivdual service item on solus. cheers Phil

Hi Les
We had a problem the first one we did, turned out we never had the ignition on fully, we had to push key into dash and keep the button pressed till all the dash lights came on then no problems.
