Steve you were spot on in your original post re the module with fuses in it n/s/r corner.Must admit i was getting confused as local merc dealer had never herd of a k40 relay,to add to it another local merc specialist reckon that the fuel pump relay is controlled by the SAM(signal authentication module) o/s/r corner,(i suppose indirectly it is)hence i couldn't make head nor tail of the wire colors on autodata diagram,incidentally,autodata wire colors are similar but not identical.Thank to all for looking.
