Volvo V70 1998 2.5TDi - Dash problems, service light flashes when key is onArchived Message

Dash works ok but service ligh flashes when key is on and with engine running,Also then key is out the lcd with miles ect stays on but not illuminated.Has anyone got any ideas on this one.The customer tells me he had a flat battery and fault happend after he jumped it.
