    Hi Stephen, not sure if this will help, but I had a Lupo with a similar problem which as far as I could tell was a ECU fault (customer would not spend the money to have it fixed). On the car I had when the fault occured the reading from the MAP sensor when checked on the data list would stay constant (590 mbar from memory)regardless of what I did to try change it. It was also different from the actual reading taken from the MAP sensor at the time of the fault. Maybe this part of the ECU tested ok when you got it checked but is failing intermittently?
